Dia de los Muertos is a traditional Mexican holiday that dates back thousands of years to honor our ancestors and to cherish and remember lost loved ones in the company of community.  The ancient belief asserts that the souls of the deceased come to visit during Dia de los Muertos guided by the familiar sights and fragrances of the items on their altars and the sound of their loved ones gathered round. A meaningful way to participate in Dia de los Muertos MS is to bring a personal remembrance for a lost loved one.  These personal memorials, known as altars or ofrendas, vary from a single photograph to an elaborate shrine in honor of that loved one.
